Project Overview
As the lead designer for myEki, I was tasked with designing a platform that would simplify the online shopping experience for African users. The challenge was to create an intuitive, user-centered design that caters to both buyers and sellers, ensuring ease of use while maintaining visual appeal and accessibility.
The platform needed to address the issue of low internet connectivity and limited access to advanced e-commerce features in certain regions. Additionally, the goal was to ensure a seamless, responsive experience across mobile devices, given the high volume of mobile shoppers.

The African e-commerce landscape is a rapidly growing market with immense potential, driven by increasing smartphone usage and a demand for digital convenience. MyEki identified an opportunity to create a culturally aligned platform that empowers small businesses, builds trust, and offers customers the reliable and seamless shopping experience they deserve

Africa's e-commerce sector faced significant roadblocks: unreliable systems, poorly optimized interfaces, and barriers to connectivity for buyers, alongside limited resources for sellers to manage and scale their businesses effectively. MyEki solved these challenges by introducing a secure, user-centric platform that simplifies online transactions, builds trust, and empowers sellers with accessible store management tools
